Winkler Co-op is hiring a full-time Health and Safety Manager.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for maintaining the health and safety program and working with management, the safety committee and team leads to implement and coordinate safety compliance, training, and education. The Health and Safety Manager is responsible to ensure Winkler Co-op is meeting or exceeding safety standards and legal regulations and will play an integral part in Winkler Co-op’s enterprise risk strategy. The Health and Safety Manager will live the Co-op brand and will provide health and safety leadership to the organization.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career as a Safety professional in a leadership role, and:

  • Have demonstrated knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety
    legislation and their application to the workplace.
  • Have the proven ability to develop and implement projects by working through,
    and with, individuals or teams.
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, especially
    Word, Teams, Forms, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Can establish priorities and meet deadlines within tight timelines, in a busy high-
    volume environment.
  • Are committed to service excellence and ongoing professional development.
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Have 5+ years experience in a health and safety position.
  • Degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety (CRST or CRSP)
    preferred, but not required.
