Communication to our community is important to us and essential to your protection.

As Winkler Co-op locations provide services during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also working to protect the health and safety of members, customers, and employees.

Winkler Co-op Food Store (Friday, May 28)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Winkler Food Store location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19. There were no close contacts with staff or public.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we are working together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.

Winkler Co-op Food Store (Monday, May 17)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Winkler Food Store location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we are working together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.
  • Close contacts have been identified and are in self-isolation.

Coop@Home (Thursday, May 13)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Coop@Home location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we are working together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.
  • Close contacts have been identified and are in self-isolation.

Winkler Truckstop (Thursday, May 13)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Winkler Truckstop location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we are working together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.
  • Close contacts have been identified and are in self-isolation.

Winkler Food Store (Wednesday, May 12)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Winkler Food Store location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19. There were no close contacts with staff or public.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we continue to work together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.

Winkler Truckstop (Saturday, May 8)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Winkler Truckstop location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we are working together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.
  • Close contacts have been identified and are in self-isolation.

Morden Food Store (Saturday, May 8)

We have recently learned that an employee working at our Morden Food Store location has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

To protect the community, the following actions were taken:

  • Manitoba Public Health has been contacted and we are working together with them for the safety of our staff and customers.
  • Close contacts have been contacted.

Winkler Co-op locations continue to perform a thorough deep clean of work areas, and continue to sanitize regularly.

We appreciate the work being done by all of our employees in serving the community and we are working to support them through this pandemic. That is why, when any employee feels unwell or shows symptoms, they are directed to self-isolate at home and seek guidance from Health Links.

Other Measures include: mandatory masks, non permeable barriers, physical distancing requirements, increased sanitization, one-way aisle markers, customer limiting, increased signage, electrostatic fogging, and encouraged deliveries and free curbside pick-up.

We understand the impacts of COVID-19, which is why we want to be transparent and disclose broad details about the confirmed cases while ensuring the confidentiality of our team. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this pandemic.
